About Me

My name is Matt Vukas. Welcome to my personal website and blog! If you’ve arrived on this page, you might be looking for some sort of biography.

I grew up in Carmel, Indiana and attended Indiana University (2025–26 football national champs!) in Bloomington, Indiana, graduating in May 2014 with a B.S. in Computer Science. I moved to Colorado in 2015, and have lived here ever since.

I’ve been fascinated with computers ever since I unboxed my family’s first PC, a bulky, beige Dell, and dialed in at a blazing fast 56kbps (oh, nostalgia) to AOL. That was around 1997, and we’ve come a very long way since then.

As for my career, I’ve worked full time as a software engineer since graduating in 2014 — several SaaS startups, then a stint at Amazon, and now Google.

Outside of work, I like spending time with family and being outdoors. I currently spend a lot of time running, some time hiking (including 14ers), and a bit of time skiing in the winter.

I don’t post here much these days, but email me or reach out on socials (in the site footer) if you’d like to get in touch!
